Envirosuite welcomes Colby Manwaring as an Independent Director

Colby has had an executive and entrepreneurial career in water and environmental software, covering nearly all aspects of the industry, including software development, sales and marketing, professional technical training, strategic business planning and execution, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic alliances.

Starting his career as a software developer he went on to lead multi-national infrastructure analytics software company, Innovyze, with 3,000 customers globally, which subsequently sold to software giant Autodesk in 2021 for $1Bn USD ($1.55Bn AUD).

About Colby Manwaring

Colby’s career has covered the full range of roles in software technology, starting his career building applications as a software developer and progressing through product management, customer success, sales and marketing to senior executive management roles. His most recent roles include CEO of Innovyze, the leading global provider of smart water analytics software solutions, and Vice President at Autodesk, the global leader of engineering design and make software solutions.

He has been responsible for the creation and execution of enterprise strategic vision and commercial success at several companies. His success in aligning organic growth initiatives to product and people resources has resulted in balanced growth and profitability, achieving “rule-of-40+” outcomes for private start-ups, private equity owners, and public market shareholders. Additionally, Colby has led buy-side and sell-side M&A initiatives to achieve inorganic growth outcomes that have transformed the businesses he has led. He has personally overseen the acquisition and integration of 6 businesses, in addition to advising on due diligence and integration planning of over 30 others.

Colby’s technical speciality is in the water infrastructure software market. Colby’s roots in the water industry run deep, from building applications as a software developer to training professionals in the technical details of water management to building strategic business alliances through smart mergers and acquisitions. His work with water and wastewater utilities, government agencies, and engineering organisations around the world has helped thousands of engineers design, plan, manage, operate, protect, and sustain complex water infrastructure systems.

Hugh Robertson to step down

Having served as a director since September 2018, Hugh Robertson has decided to step down effective 1 September 2023. Hugh has been instrumental in each of the Company’s corporate actions since his appointment, including its capital raisings, securing strategic partners and the transformational acquisition of EMS.

During his tenure, the Company has evolved from a fledging technology story to a truly global organisation with three significant technology arms, all of which have material opportunities for growth, and the Company has now achieved a positive adjusted EBITDA outcome for the past financial year. The Board sincerely thanks him for his significant contribution over the last five years to help shape the Company that it is today.
