About the workshop
Evolutionizing odor mitigation through environmental intelligence
As industries and communities become increasingly connected, waste facilities are now being held to higher standards. In response to growing environmental challenges, waste management sites are now reimagining how they use technology solutions to make better informed decisions that optimize operations, drive competition, and achieve better outcomes for the industry, society and communities - equally.
Offensive odors from landfills are under increased scrutiny from regulators, but also expanding communities due to urbanization and changes to buffer zones. We must look to new technologies and innovative best practices not only around real-time odor management, but also forecasting impact to inform decisions of when, where and to what extent odor controls needs to be applied. Facilities can use these insights to support proactive, data-driven community engagement while providing necessary services to growing populations in a sustainable, compliant and socially acceptable way. This is true environmental intelligence.

Meet the team
Greg brings to the role over 20 years of experience growing customer centric technology, acoustics and instrumentation businesses with experience with EMS Brüel & Kjær (acquired in February 2020) and Bruel & Kjaer Sound & Vibration Measurement.
He’s responsible for driving growth and expanding Envirosuite’s business in Americas overseeing sales, operations and administration across North America and South America.

Marc Byers is the founder and President of Byers Scientific where he oversees business operations for all divisions, leads the product research and development team and is actively involved in customer/client relationship development. Marc is the inventor of the firm’s patented vapor-phase technology.
Marc is a frequent presenter at both public and private forums on odor-related issues, a speaker at continuing education (CE) courses for professionals in the waste management sector, and a sought-after expert witness. An experienced business leader, Marc was also involved in international business, serving in diverse senior roles from New York to Moscow.

Andres Quijano is currently the Solutions Design Engineer for the Americas at Envirosuite. He has over 15 years of experience creating integrated hardware and software solutions that assist environmental professionals and site operators to optimize their management plans. His experience and passion for software has led him to design solutions that meet the most challenging environmental demands and constantly exceed customers’ expectations.
